Design details of our Salt storage barn

In response to the stringent requirements of the salt storage environment on storage facilities, we have carried out systematic technical responses in terms of material selection and process implementation:

Steel and anti-corrosion system

Base material: Q355B carbon steel is used, and the yield strength reaches 355MPa, which is 12% higher than the industry standard, ensuring the high strength and durability of the structure.

Galvanized layer: The steel surface adopts a double-sided hot-dip galvanizing process, and the zinc layer thickness is ≥180g/m², which complies with GB/T 13912 standard and international standards, providing excellent anti-corrosion performance.

Weld treatment: All welds adopt a full welding process to ensure the strength and sealing of the structural joints. The weld surface is coated with epoxy zinc-rich primer, and the salt spray tolerance time exceeds 6000 hours, which further enhances the corrosion resistance.

Structural reinforcement design:

Door reinforcement: The door frame adopts a 12mm thick reinforcement plate, which significantly improves the ability to resist forklift impact and increases the service life by 3 times.

Drainage system: In order to cope with heavy rain and prevent water accumulation, the barn is designed with a 5% inclined gutter and 304 stainless steel water collector. The system can drain up to 150 liters/minute in extreme conditions, ensuring that the salt or sand remains dry and protected.

Ventilation scheme: Proper ventilation is key to preventing moisture accumulation in the barn. We installed adjustable louver vents on the top of the structure, allowing up to 4 air exchanges per hour to maintain air circulation in the barn and prevent moisture accumulation.

Transparent film and steel structure design

Steel structure: For our steel salt shed, we use 1.5 mm corrugated steel plate and fluorocarbon coating, providing enhanced durability and resistance to severe weather and corrosion.

PVC film design: For our salt and sand barns, we use high-strength 850g/m² PVC film with a light transmittance of 18%. It can provide natural lighting while effectively blocking UV rays and extending service life.
